The Katsina State Police Command has made significant arrests in two separate cases, cracking down on individuals suspected of supplying bandits with security uniforms and others accused of raping minors.

In the first case, police operatives arrested Aminu Hassan, a 25-year-old resident of Dundubus, Daja LGA, for allegedly financing armed bandits operating in Danmusa LGA and surrounding areas.

Hassan was caught with two pairs of military uniforms concealed in a black polythene bag during a routine patrol on November 19, 2024.

In a separate development, the Katsina State Police Command arrested seven individuals for allegedly raping four minors aged 13-14. The suspects, all residents of Kaita LGA, were arrested on November 25, 2024, following a report lodged at the Kaita Divisional Police Headquarters.

The suspects allegedly lured the minors to one of their homes, where they were sexually assaulted. The arrested suspects have confessed to the crimes and will be charged in court upon the conclusion of the investigation.

Commissioner of Police Katsina State, CP Musa Aliyu, commended the officers for their dedication and professionalism in apprehending the suspects. He urged the public to continue providing valuable information to aid security efforts in combating crimes in the state.
