    Epe LG Council Promises To Restore Electricity

    The Epe Local Government Council Area of Lagos State Chairman, Princess Surah Animashaun has assured Epe residents that there would be stable electricity during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

    Princess Animashaun stated this while fielding questions from journalists at the backdrop of darkness in Epe division, saying all necessary requirements to facilitate the immediate restoration of electricity are in top gear.

    She reassured residents that power would be fully restored shortly. “Indeed, we are committed to ensuring Epe LGA enjoys a reliable and steady power supply once again, all efforts were being made to make this a reality, stressing that the stakeholders were working hard to provide a more reliable and improved power infrastructure,” she pledged.

    Princess Animashaun said Nigeria’s power supply has been persistently unstable despite the privatisation of the successor electricity generation and distribution companies in November 2013, moreso, vandals continued to vandalise electricity cables and wires that contributed to the power outage in the council.

    She said proactive engagement with relevant authorities and their ability to mobilize community support have been instrumental in bringing this issue to the forefront, noting that their dedication to improving the quality of life for their community serves as an inspiration and a testament to their leadership.

    “In fact, Epe leaders’ collaborative efforts have advanced our objective of restoring power to Epe LG Area. We acknowledged your dedication, commitment, and resourcefulness.

    “Thank you for your continued commitment to our community. We anticipate continued collaboration to build a brighter future for all.” Princess Animashaun stated

    The Chairman highlighted the crucial role that community involvement plays in safeguarding energy infrastructure, noting that a collaborative approach is necessary for preventing vandalism, promoting development, and enhancing the overall well-being of the community.

    The Chairman was quoted as saying, “Furthermore, I want to assure all citizens and residents of Epe division that efforts are diligently underway to enhance our nation’s power supply during this festive season.

    “Recognising the importance of electricity in our daily lives, my positon as a Chairman of Epe LG is committed to ensuring a more reliable and improved power infrastructure.

    “We understand the significance of uninterrupted power, especially during celebrations and even beyond, and we are working tirelessly to provide a stable electricity supply.

    “Your comfort and enjoyment during this Yuletide season and beyond are paramount, and we are dedicated to making substantial progress in delivering an enhanced power experience for all.”

    Princess Animashaun conveyed her deepest appreciation to esteemed individuals and organizations, including Hon. Wale Raji, Hon. Abiodun Tobun, the paramount ruler of Epe, Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashun, the Arolugbade Elepe of Epe Land, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Epe Chapter, led by Comrade Moibi Ibrahim.

    Also, she appreciated the entire Exco members, and Alhaji Akanni Sakiru Seriki- Bamu for their unwavering commitment to addressing the persistent electricity outage, saying that their tireless efforts in advocating for a swift resolution demonstrate a genuine concern for the well-being of their constituents
