In A resounding show of support, High Chief Tajudeen Oriyomi AYEOLA has been re-elected as President of the International Cooperative Alliance Africa (ICA-Africa) during the Regional Assembly held at the 14th Africa Ministerial Cooperative Conference (AMCCO) in Nairobi, Kenya.

The re-election, announced today, reaffirms AYEOLA’s leadership in championing cooperative development across the continent. Delegates from across Africa gathered to cast their votes and celebrate the continued stewardship of a figure widely regarded as a driving force behind regional cooperative progress.

“I am deeply honored by the confidence and trust placed in me,” AYEOLA said in his acceptance speech. “Your presence here today is a testament to the shared vision for a stronger cooperative movement in Africa.”

AYEOLA praised the commitment of delegates who traveled from far and wide to attend the assembly, emphasizing the importance of unity and shared learning. He urged leaders to replicate successful initiatives and best practices from the conference in their home countries.

“Let us take what we’ve learned here and apply it practically,” he said. “This is how we accelerate the growth and development of cooperatives at all levels.”

Addressing the assembly, AYEOLA also delivered a powerful message to cooperative leaders about the legacy of leadership.

“Make the most of your time in leadership,” he advised. “The actions we take today will be judged by future generations.”

He acknowledged the challenges faced by cooperative organizations and encouraged leaders to remain steadfast in motivating their members.

“Encouragement is key,” AYEOLA noted. “Even in the face of adversity, we must continue to uplift our members and remind them of the power of collective action.”

His re-election signals continuity and renewed momentum for ICA-Africa’s mission to foster cooperation, promote socio-economic empowerment, and strengthen partnerships among cooperative organizations across the continent.

With another term ahead, High Chief AYEOLA is expected to build on his legacy and deepen the impact of cooperatives in Africa’s development landscape.
