On Friday, the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, formally commissioned the new Aguma Palace on Radio Nigeria New Market Road in Gwagwalada, Abuja. The event, attended by prominent officials including the Minister of State for FCT, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, and the Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadeji, marked a significant milestone for the community.

Notable personalities present also included the Chairman of the Senate Committee on FCT Area Council, David Jimkuta, Aguma of Gwagwalada Muhammed Magaji, and several political leaders such as PDP National Vice Chairman (South South) Chief Dan Orbih, Senators Philip Aduda, George Sekibo, Ifeanyi Ararume, and former Deputy Speaker Chibudom Nwuche, among others.


During the occasion, Minister Wike showcased his dancing skills to the amusement of guests, including Vice President Shettima. The event was further marked by solidarity from Gwagwalada Market women, highlighting community support for the project.



The commissioning underscores the ongoing development and infrastructural strides within the FCT, with leaders emphasizing the importance of infrastructure renewal for local communities.
