In a significant breakthrough, the Ogun State Police Command has rescued a missing girl from Ota, in the Ado-Odo/Ota local government area of the state.
The girl was found in Ayetoro, Ogun State, during a covert operation led by the State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo.
The operation, which was spearheaded by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, resulted in the arrest of all suspects linked to the abduction.

According to the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, the rescue was the result of swift action and intelligence-driven efforts by the Anti-Kidnapping team.
The police have assured the public that more details about the operation, the suspects, and the circumstances surrounding the girl’s abduction would be provided during a press briefing scheduled for tomorrow by CP Lanre Ogunlowo.
The rescue comes after the girl was reportedly abducted last week in Sango-Ota, sparking public concern and a search for her whereabouts.
The police had confirmed the abduction but denied allegations that officers demanded N40,000 from the complainant to process the case.
However, the command acknowledged that the officer who initially received the complaint acted unprofessionally by failing to escalate the matter to the Divisional Police Officer for prompt attention.
Disciplinary actions have been initiated against the erring officers for mishandling the incident.
