The 62-kilometer first section of the Port Harcourt/Aba/Maiduguri track reconstruction project has been officially handed over to the Federal Ministry of Transportation, sparking joy among residents of Port Harcourt.
At the handover ceremony, Deputy Project Manager of CCECC, Pan Weibing, announced the successful completion of the 62-km project, expressing hopes for the timely completion of the remaining section .

The project is expected to boost economic activities in the affected states.
Engr. Ayo Dada, Project Supervisor of the Federal Ministry of Transportation, commended the contractor’s effort and quality of work, stating that the project demonstrates the federal government’s commitment to efficient transportation.
The project aligns with President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda for the transport sector.
The Deputy Director of the Nigerian Railway Cooperation, Engr. Ogunade Adesegun, expressed happiness over the project’s completion, emphasizing its significance in providing an alternative transportation system to alleviate the high cost of road transportation.
