    Lagos announces traffic diversion on Ajose Adeogun street for Christmas youth parade

    The Lagos State Government has announced plans to divert traffic on a section of Ajose Adeogun Street, Victoria Island, on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 6am to 3pm.

    According to the state Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the diversion is to facilitate the Christmas Youth Parade in the area.

    Motorists and road users are advised to use alternative routes to avoid congestion. For those heading to Eko Hotel Roundabout from VCP Hotel, the recommended route is through Jubril Martins Street, turning right into Muri Okunola Street, and connecting to Ligali Ayorinde Street, Bishop Aboyade Cole Street, and Tokunbo Ademola Street.

    Traffic from Ligali Ayorinde Street heading to Eko Hotel Roundabout will be diverted to Bishop Aboyade Cole Street, connecting to Adetokunbo Ademola Street.

    Motorists inward Ajose Adeogun Street from Eko Hotel Roundabout will be diverted to Adetokunbo Ademola Street, turning right into Bishop Aboyade Cole Street, and linking to Muri Okunola Street, Jubril Martins Street, and Ajose Adeogun Street.

    Osiyemi urged motorists to be patient and obey all traffic signs to prevent congestion. Officers of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) will be on duty to ensure seamless traffic flow and safety of motorists
