‘Asiwaju Musulumi’ reaffirms support for MUSWEN ahead of 2025 General Assembly

The Asiwaju Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta states, Chief Khamis Tunde Badmus, has promised his unalloyed support for the Muslim Ummah of South West (MUSWEN) and its various empowerment initiatives

Chief Badmus stated this in Osogbo when he hosted leaders of MUSWEN who paid a courtesy visit to initimate him on the organisation’s forthcoming annual General Assembly holding on Sunday, 16th November, 2025 at the Bola Babalakin Hall, Gbongan, Osun State.

The visiting team was led by the MUSWEN President, Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo. He was accompanied by other leaders, including Prof. Muslih ‘Tayo Yahya, Executive Secretary of MUSWEN and Alhaji Murisiku Abidemi Siyanbade, Chairman of the MUSWEN General Assembly planning committee.

Others include Prof Lateef Wole Abbas, Chairman of the MUSWEN Education Committee; Prof. Rasheed Aderinoye; Alhaja Lateefat Dairo, immediate past FOMWAN Amirah; Heads of all the MUSWEN General Assembly Planning Sub-committees and members of the Osun State Muslim Community.

Alhaji Oladejo acknowledged the role of the host in all the activities of MUSWEN.

Alhaji Siyanbade stated that this year’s General Assembly aims to achieve objectives which include, hosting the Nigerian President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the South West governors and other dignitaries across the country.

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar is the Special Guest of Honour while the keynote lecture will be delivered by the Nasarawa State governor, Engr Abdullahi Audu Sule.

According to him, MUSWEN, will be raising N2bn naira to empower the Muslim Ummah, build a state of the art healthcare facility, provide educational support for indigent students, among others.

The host expressed his deep appreciation to MUSWEN, promising to attend the event.
