Access Bank Plc has commissioned an ultra-modern solar-powered water borehole at Ibom village in Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State. The project is part of the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR).
According to the Zonal Head, Access Retail Operations, South East 4, Mr. Godswill Nwachukwu, “the gesture which has been an annual ritual of the bank, was the first in Southeast Zone 4 under the retail operation group.” Nwachukwu commended his team for executing the project efficiently and on record time.

Nwachukwu urged the community leaders to protect the facilities against vandalism, saying, “we commend the community for their cooperation and support during the execution of the project.”
The monarch, Eze Ibom Isii, HRH Eze Amos Okoro, represented by the President General of Ibom Isii, Mazi Paul Ogbonna Okoro, praised the bank for the gesture, which he said would bring tremendous relief to his subjects. Okoro promised to safeguard the facility against vandalism.
The Deputy Chairman, Arochukwu LGA, Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Nwafor, and other speakers at the event, appealed to Access Bank to establish a branch in Arochukwu to boost economic and commercial activities in the area.
