Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, earlier Saturday, graced the wedding fatiha of Abubakar Muntasir Dasuki Arabi and Fatima Modibbo Tafida, held at the Bubayero Central Mosque, Emir’s Palace in Gombe.

The Governor, who attended the ceremony in company of top government functionaries and associates, served as Wakil (representative) for the groom, Abubakar Muntasir Dasuki Arabi, while Hon. Sulaiman Jalo stood in as Waliy (Guardian) for the bride, Fatima Modibbo Tafida.

The marriage was solemnized with the payment of the sum of two hundred thousand naira (N200,000) as dowry.

Imam Mohammed Umar Pindiga presided over the Islamic rites of the marriage, conducted in accordance with Islamic tenets and traditions.

The wedding fatiha witnessed the presence of the Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Dr. Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, CFR and other dignitaries from various walks of life.

Prayers were offered for the success and happiness of the new couple, and for peace and prosperity of Gombe State and Nigeria.
