Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has appointed Olalere James Olayinka as his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and social media. This appointment takes immediate effect, according to a statement signed by the Director, Press, in the minister’s office, Anthony Ogunleye.
Olayinka brings over 20 years of experience in journalism, public relations, and media management to his new role. His impressive career spans various positions, including CEO of Our Peoples FM, Ado-Ekiti, publisher of Wazobia Reporters Online, Special Assistant on Public Communications to the Governor of Ekiti State, Director-General of the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State, Media Adviser to the Minister of State for Works, and publisher and editor-in-chief of Class Magazine.

Born on October 1, 1972, Olayinka hails from Okemesi, Ekiti State, and holds a diploma in Journalism from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba, Lagos.
As Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and social media, Olayinka will develop strategies to enhance public awareness of government activities and foster stronger engagement between the FCT Administration and the public
