Voting began early at Egware Primary School in Ujiogba Ward II, Units 2, 3, and 11 in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State, much to the delight of voters eager to exercise their rights.
Pa Robert Eguekagbon, a 76-year-old voter, expressed his satisfaction with the voting process, sharing with Vanguard that materials arrived before 8 AM. “Materials came early, around 8 AM. I came, got accredited, and I have voted. It was good and smooth,” he stated.
An INEC official, who preferred to remain unnamed, described the process as seamless, noting that there were no issues with network failures and all voting machines were functioning perfectly.
Voters arrived early and conducted themselves in an orderly manner, with the elderly lining up and some searching for their names in the voters’ register, even as rain began to fall.
