Vice President Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed the federal government’s resolve to revolutionize Nigeria’s digital economy, stating that the initiative is on track and enjoys the necessary support, initiatives, and partnerships.

“The digital revolution is on course, and we are fully committed to it. We will continue to open our doors to all willing partners and stakeholders who believe in the Nigeria project,” Shettima said during a courtesy visit by the management of Odua Investment Company Limited, led by its Chairman, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Shettima praised the company’s initiatives and investments in agriculture, digital economy, and MSMEs, citing these sectors as critical to Nigeria’s economic development and future.

“These sectors remain critical to our economic development and future. We are committed to supporting initiatives that drive growth and development,” he added.

Shettima emphasized the federal government’s commitment to fostering partnerships and collaborations to drive economic growth, stating that the country is poised to take its rightful position globally.

“It’s just a matter of time before Nigeria takes its rightful position across the globe,” he said.

Otunba Ashiru commended President Tinubu’s efforts to promote ease of doing business in Nigeria and expressed optimism about the country’s future under the current administration.

“We see a brighter future in this country with what we have seen so far. Businesses are coming in, and that’s why we are here,” Ashiru said.

The Group Managing Director of Oodua Investment Company Limited, Abdurrahman Yinusa, highlighted the importance of collaboration between the private and public sectors to drive economic growth, particularly in agriculture and information technology.

“We are passionate about agriculture and information technology because that is the fourth industrial revolution. The Vice President has assured us that they are focused on making sure Nigeria takes its rightful place in the comity of nations in those two fields,” Yinusa said.
