    Published on

The Federal Government of Nigeria has granted Maranatha University, Lagos, a full operational license to function as a private university. This milestone was achieved after a thorough Licence Review Exercise conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC) from April 14 to 16, 2024.

The license, signed by the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, and the acting Executive Secretary of NUC, Mr. Chris J. Maiyaki, confirms that Maranatha University has met the requirements of the Educational Acts Cap E3 of 2024, including the Benchmark Minimum Academic Standards (BMAS) and other operational guidelines.

Maranatha University, a Christian faith-based institution, aims to provide innovative academic programs that offer access to quality education and knowledge for service to humanity. The university boasts four faculties, 20 programs, and modern infrastructure, including state-of-the-art laboratories, classrooms, and a central library.

With a strong focus on technology, linkages, and partnerships, Maranatha University is poised to contribute significantly to the growth and development of tertiary education in Nigeria and globally.
