The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a stern warning to the All-Progressives Congress (APC) to desist from its current behavior of unprovoked attacks and harassment of innocent citizens in Edo State or face the wrath of the people.
National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, stated that the APC’s desperation to rig the September 21, 2024 Governorship election has led to a surge in violence and harassment, but the people of Edo State will not be intimidated.
He cited several instances of APC-led attacks, harassment, and illegal arrests of innocent citizens, including the attempted arrest of Chief Francis Inegbeniki, who recently defected from the APC to the PDP.

Ologunagba emphasized that the PDP will not fold its hands and watch the APC subvert the will of the people and will contend with the APC head-to-head to protect democracy and ensure a free, fair, transparent, and credible election.
He appealed to the Inspector General of Police to intervene and halt the APC’s activities, which are pitching the people of Edo State against the Police and ensure the immediate and unconditional release of detained Edo citizens.
