Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has welcomed back 25 of its students who recently completed an 18-month international training programme in Automobile and Electrical Automation at Hangzhou Vocational and Technical College (HVTC), China.
The students were part of the Silk Road Skills Programme, a collaborative effort between Choice International Investment Co. Ltd., Choice International Group (GAC Motors), and the Chief Diana Foundation, aimed at promoting international exposure and advanced technical competence among Nigerian students.
“The Management of Yaba College of Technology is delighted to announce the safe return of 25 students who have successfully completed an 18-month international training programme in Automobile and Electrical Automation at Hangzhou Vocational and Technical College (HVTC), China,” said Dr. Engr. Ajala Mosud Taiwo, Director, Centre for Linkages, Partnerships and International Relations (CLPIR).
The programme is part of YABATECH’s efforts to foster strong industry partnerships and promote internationalisation. The College will be hosting a welcome ceremony for the students, led by the Dean, School of Engineering, and the CLPIR team.

“We are cordially invited to join the Management in welcoming our students back and celebrating this major milestone in YABATECH’s internationalisation journey,” the statement added.
The return of these students marks a significant achievement for YABATECH, highlighting its commitment to providing students with global opportunities and exposure.
