    Tragedy: Building collapse in Ibadan with 10 fatalities, seven survivors

    In a tragic incident on Thursday morning, a building collapsed in the Jegede Olorunsogo area of the Ona Ara local government, resulting in the deaths of ten individuals. Fortunately, seven others were rescued alive from the wreckage.

    Rev. Akinyemi Akinyinka, the General Manager of Oyo State Fire Services, confirmed the event to newsmen. He stated that emergency services received distress calls from local residents at approximately 2am.

    He said, “The Oyo State Fire Services Agency received a distressed call at about 2 AM this morning from the Jegede Olunloyo area in Ibadan. Ten individuals have been recovered from the debris of the collapsed building, while seven others were rescued alive.”

    “Rescue operations are still ongoing. Thank you.”
