    Published on

What Began as a joyous wedding celebration in Jahun Local Government Area of Jigawa State turned into a scene of horror when the bride allegedly poisoned the food served at the reception. This shocking incident has left the groom seriously ill and has claimed the life of one guest.

Guests had gathered to celebrate the union, but the festivities quickly soured when reports emerged that the bride’s actions may have been motivated by a personal vendetta. The atmosphere of love and joy was replaced with confusion and concern as the groom was rushed to the hospital, battling the effects of the tainted food.

In response to the unfolding tragedy, the Jigawa State Police have launched an investigation. Police Public Relations Officer Shi’isu Adam confirmed the situation, stating, “We received a report that the bride had tainted the food served at the wedding reception, leaving the groom critically ill.”

Authorities have arrested two suspects linked to the incident: the bride and another female accomplice, both of whom are currently in police custody. Adam emphasized the police’s commitment to ensuring justice, saying, “We will do everything in our power to ensure that justice is served.”

While most guests who consumed the poisoned food have been discharged from the hospital, the loss of one life has cast a shadow over what should have been a celebration of love. The police spokesman reassured the public, stating, “The command is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, and we will provide more details as soon as possible. For now, we can confirm that the incident occurred, and we are working tirelessly to unravel the facts. We urge the public to remain calm and assured that justice will be served.”

As the community grapples with the aftermath of this tragedy, the wedding that was meant to unite families has instead brought sorrow and shock to many. The investigation continues as authorities seek to uncover the motives behind this heartbreaking event.
