Tinubu visits Enugu Saturday, to commission Mbah’s multiple projects

President Bola Tinubu is set to undertake a state visit to Enugu State today, January 4, 2025, where he will commission several projects executed by the Governor Peter Mbah Administration.

According to a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, on Friday, the president’s visit is a significant event for the state.

“The Enugu State Government is happy to announce the first state visit to the state by the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on Saturday, January 4, 2025,” Onyia said.

During the visit, President Tinubu will commission 30 completed and equipped Enugu Smart Green Schools out of 260 under construction across the state’s 260 wards.

Also to be commissioned are 60 completed and equipped Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres out of 260 under construction, as well as the completed multi-auditorium and multi-functional Enugu International Conference Centre.

Furthermore, President Tinubu will commission 90 completed urban roads in Enugu City, a state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre, and 150 patrol vehicles fitted with AI-embedded surveillance cameras.

The president is also expected to commission some completed rural roads during his one-day visit, which marks his first state visit to Enugu State since taking office.

The visit is expected to strengthen the relationship between the federal government and Enugu State, and showcase the state’s development projects.
