Tinubu, Sultan, Adeleke, other S/west governors to grace MUSWEN General Assembly as body raises N2bn for empowerment, scholarships, health facilities

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will lead a host of national leaders to the 10th Annual General Meeting of the Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN), the umbrella body for all State Muslim Communities, Councils in Southwest Nigeria.

President Tinubu, who will serve as Father of the Day, will be joined by governors from the South West, including the governor of Osun State, Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke, who is the Chief Host.
The important annual gathering of Southwest leaders holds on Sunday, 16th November, 2025 at the iconic Bola Babalakin Hall, Gbongan, Osun State.

Also confirmed to be present as Special Guest of Honour is the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji (Dr.) Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar.
The Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Alhaji Abdullahi Audu Sule, will deliver the keynote lecture. The theme of the lecture is: Nigeria’s Economy: Any Hope For The Masses?

In a letter to President Tinubu, a copy of which was seen by our reporter, President of MUSWEN and Deputy President-General (South), Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo said the gathering also provides an opportunity for President Tinubu to meet with the assemblage of South West Muslim Leaders, who will be at the General Assembly.
The letter reads in part:
Your Excellency, you are our pride.
We have demonstrated our unflinching support, love and loyalty to Your Excellency, long before the election.
You will recall, sir, that we organised a Town Hall Meeting with South West Muslim Leaders, which Your Excellency graciously and personally attended at JOGOR HALL, Ibadan on Sunday, 11th December, 2022, where we pledged our total support for you. We also issued Press statements to thank Allah that Your Excellency emerged as the President, Commander-in-Chief, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
We are also grateful for the warm reception Your Excellency accorded the delegation of South West Muslim Leaders at the Federal Executive Council Chambers, Abuja on Friday, 20th October, 2023.
Your Excellency, South West Muslim Leaders love you. We believe in your Renewed Hope Agenda and defend your policies at every opportunity. We see light at the end of the tunnel.

Recently, Your Excellency met with Christian leaders in Jos.
It will be an opportunity for Mr.
President to also meet with the assemblage of South West Muslim
Leaders, who will be at our forthcoming General Assembly.
We look forward to having your presidential and august presence at the event, Your Excellency.”
