Tinubu hosts German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Aso Rock

Abuja – President Bola Tinubu hosted German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, marking a significant diplomatic engagement between the two nations.

Steinmeier arrived in Abuja on Tuesday evening and was received by President Tinubu at the Forecourt of the State House.

The German leader was treated to a ceremonial welcome, featuring his country’s national anthem and the Nigerian anthem, followed by an inspection of the Guard of Honour mounted by the Presidential Brigade of Guards.

A 21-gun salute was also held in his honor before the two leaders proceeded to closed-door talks and bilateral agreements.
The meeting is expected to yield significant outcomes, with a joint press briefing scheduled to take place after the closed-door discussions.

This visit underscores the growing diplomatic ties between Nigeria and Germany, with potential collaborations in various sectors anticipated.
