    Tinubu greets Buhari on 82nd birthday

    President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has released a heartfelt birthday tribute to former President Muhammadu Buhari, who turned 82 years old today, December 17, 2024.

    In a statement, President Tinubu extended his warmest congratulations and best wishes to the former President, reflecting on his years of dedicated service and leadership that have significantly shaped the course of Nigeria.

    Tinubu praised Buhari’s steadfast commitment to Nigeria’s advancement and unity, which has inspired many, and his enduring legacy that continues to guide the nation’s journey towards prosperity and stability.

    The President also commended Buhari’s doggedness and resilience in contesting presidential elections in 2003, 2007, and 2011 before winning them in 2015 and 2019, saying it inspires him never to give up.

    Tinubu assured that he will continue to build on the infrastructure legacy bequeathed to the nation by Buhari’s administration, describing it as a remarkable milestone in Daura.

    Other prominent Nigerians, including Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi, have also paid tribute to the former President on his birthday.
