    Published on

Award-winning South African film star Nomzamo Mbatha is featured on this week’s edition of the Globacom sponsored African Voices Changemakers, the 30-minute magazine program on Cable News Network International (CNN). The internationally recognized actress shares insights into her career journey, growing global influence, and the impact she hopes to make beyond film and television.

While filming the final season of the hit teleMbathavision series Shaka iLembe, Mbatha sat down with CNN’s Larry Madowo for an exclusive interview. The conversation was filmed at the historic Cradle of Humankind outside Johannesburg, where she reflects on her fast-growing global career and the legacy she hopes to build beyond the screen.

Considering her rising global profile, Mbatha has already appeared in two Hollywood productions and was named to the prestigious TIME100 Next in 2025, which celebrates emerging global figures shaping the future. Beyond acting, she is also making waves in the beauty industry as the first South African woman to sign endorsement deals with global skincare brand Neutrogena and haircare brand Cream of Nature.
