The Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Dr Idiat Oluranti Adebule, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Muslim faithful in Lagos West, Lagos State, and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a goodwill message, Senator Adebule commended the Muslim Ummah for their devotion, sacrifice, and commitment to spiritual renewal during Ramadan. She described the fasting period as a time of deep reflection, self-discipline, compassion, and renewed faith in Allah.

The former Deputy Governor of Lagos State urged Muslims to sustain the values of patience, humility, love, and generosity imbibed during Ramadan, noting that such virtues are essential to building a peaceful and progressive society.

Senator Adebule also called on Nigerians to continue to promote unity, peaceful coexistence, and mutual respect, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences. She stressed that the spirit of Eid-el-Fitr should inspire hope, harmony, and a renewed commitment to national development.

While acknowledging the security and socio-economic challenges facing the nation, she urged citizens not to lose hope, but to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and supportive of efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability across the country.

She expressed confidence in the capacity of the current administration to address the nation’s challenges and encouraged Nigerians to continue to pray for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Nigeria.

Senator Adebule further appealed to leaders at all levels to remain committed to good governance, transparency, and service to the people, adding that Eid-el-Fitr offers an opportunity for sober reflection and rededication to the ideals of justice, fairness, and equity.

She wished all Muslim faithful a joyful and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration, and prayed that Almighty Allah accepts their fasting, prayers, and sacrifices, and blesses every home with happiness, good health, and abundant rewards.
