    Security Police arrest suspect captured on CCTV stealing phone in Lagos eatery

    The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a suspected thief, Ifeanyi Okonkwo, captured stealing a Samsung A15 mobile phone inside an eatery on Kafi Street, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos

    RRS confirmed this in a post shared on its official X handle @Lagos767 on Monday.

    It stated that the suspect, who stole the phone on Nov. 7, was apprehended on Thursday.

    “The suspect was at the restaurant to purchase food but ended up stealing the phone belonging to another customer.

    “Unknown to him, he was captured on Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) while taking the phone on the counter

    “Not realising that people were on the lookout for him, he was at the same restaurant on Dec. 5 where he was spotted and promptly apprehended by RRS operatives near the scene,” it stated.

    According to RRS, the phone has been recovered from the buyer. NAN
