    Reprisal attack: Locals in Mera kills 6 Fulanis

    In a reprisal attack following the killing of 15 persons in Mera village by lakurawa, a local security outfit named “yan sa kai has killed at least six fulanis which they suspected has a hand in the Friday killings of Mera people.

    However, an indigene of Mera town, Bashir Isah Mera, who corroborated what the police said added that another two bodies belonging to the people of Mera were recovered after the dust of the attack went down.

    According to him the recent discovery of two bodies raised the death toll to 17 against the earlier 15 that were buried on Saturday amid tears.

    Speaking further, mister Yarima stated that, governor Idris has sent condolence to the grieving families and donated fifty million naira to mitigate loses.
