The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee (NWC) has stepped into the crisis rocking the Cross River State chapter, summoning feuding members to a meeting in Abuja on Thursday, December 12, 2024.

This move follows the controversy surrounding the suspension of state party chairman, Venatius Ikem, by some members of the State Executive in November.

The NWC promptly rejected the suspension, labeling it illegal, unconstitutional, null, and void. To address the issue, the NWC invited critical stakeholders from Cross River State for an interactive and fact-finding meeting.

This development is the latest in a series of efforts to resolve the internal conflicts within the Cross River State PDP chapter. The party has been working to maintain unity and stability amid disagreements among stakeholders.
