PDP celebrates appeal court victory affirming Ighodalo’s eligibility

Published on

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has hailed the Court of Appeal’s unanimous judgment affirming Dr. Asue Ighodalo’s eligibility for the Edo State Governorship election on September 21, 2024. The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, described the judgment as a resounding victory for the people of Edo State.

“The Appeal Court Judgment is another triumph of truth over APC’s lies, falsehood, and propaganda,” Ologunagba said. “The pronouncement of the Appeal Court that the litigation against Dr. Asue Ighodalo was bereft of merit and based on flawed assumptions further validates our position that the court cases were contrived, frivolous, and aimed at distracting our candidate and the people of Edo State.”

Ologunagba emphasized that the APC’s candidate, Monday Okpebholo, is no match for Ighodalo, saying, “The APC, its candidate, and propaganda machine should counsel themselves; it’s not too late to withdraw from the race.”

The PDP commended the people of Edo State for their support, with Ologunagba urging them to “remain resolute and vigilant as we collectively coast to victory, come September 21, 2024.
