Ooni @50: CAN hails Ife monarch as unifying figure, champion of cultural preservation

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has congratulated the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II), on his 50th birthday, describing him as a unifying force and champion of cultural preservation.

CAN President Archbishop Daniel Okoh in a statement highlighted the Ooni’s efforts to foster interfaith harmony and intercultural cooperation, which resonates deeply with CAN’s mission.

He said, “As Your Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, (Ojaja II), reflect on the past five decades, it is evident that your leadership has been characterized by a profound commitment to peace, cultural preservation, and the upliftment of our people.

“As you celebrate this golden jubilee, may you continue to be blessed with wisdom, strength, and the grace to lead your people with integrity and purpose. We pray that God grants you many more years of good health and fulfillment in your noble endeavours.

“We look forward to your continued leadership and the positive impact you will undoubtedly make in the years to come.”
