In a bid to harness the creative potential of Nigerian youths, Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has urged young people to explore the creative industry and technology to excel in their chosen careers.
This call to action comes as the state prepares to empower 2360 youths through training in creative industry and technology.
At the Ogun Creative Industry & Technology Conference, Abiodun emphasized the importance of leveraging technology to harness creative potentials for maximum economic growth and development.

He noted that the creative industry in Nigeria can generate over 4 million jobs annually if properly harnessed.
The governor’s commitment to youth development and empowerment is driven by the alarming rate of crimes and criminalities among youths in the state. Abiodun believes that by providing young people with the right skills and opportunities, they can be diverted from cyber-crimes and other negative activities.
Keynote speaker, Tunde Kelani, echoed Abiodun’s sentiments, urging youths to take advantage of technology to reach a global audience. He emphasized that the creative industry is no longer limited to traditional methods, but requires skills, passion, and innovation.
