The National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN – Europe Region, has appointed Ojo Segun Sunday as its Ambassador in Portugal.
This strategic appointment has been met with enthusiasm, given Segun’s impressive background in civil engineering and his passion for youth empowerment.
According to Governor Ambassador Collins Idahosa, “Segun Sunday’s appointment is a testament to his dedication to sustainable infrastructure and youth development. His experience in cross-cultural collaborations and expertise in water engineering will undoubtedly strengthen youth empowerment in the country.

As a civil engineer with a bachelor’s degree from Shenyang Jianzhu University, China, and currently pursuing a master’s degree in Water Engineering at the University of Algarve, Portugal, Segun is well-equipped to drive progress in infrastructure policies and community development initiatives.

Segun’s fluency in Chinese language has facilitated innovative partnerships, and his commitment to STEM engagement among youth will inspire young minds across Portugal.
