The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has launched an investigation into a runway excursion involving a Boeing 737-400 cargo aircraft operated by Allied Air at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

The incident occurred on a flight identified as AJK206, which had departed from the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos. At approximately 10:06 AM local time, the aircraft skidded off the right side of runway 22 into the grass verge after landing.

Fortunately, no fatalities or injuries were reported among the crew or ground personnel. However, the aircraft sustained significant damage. Emergency response teams were quickly deployed to the scene to secure the area and ensure the safety of all personnel.
