Operatives of the Rivers State Police Command have foiled a kidnap attempt and killed a notorious kidnapper, Ikem ThankGod, popularly known as “General 2Man,” a leader of the Greenland cult group.
The suspect, responsible for various heinous crimes in Ahoada East and West Local Government Areas, was neutralized on Friday during an intelligence-led operation while attempting another kidnapping in the Ahoada area.
According to Commissioner of Police Mustapha Bala, General 2Man committed numerous atrocious acts, including the murder of a bolt driver and a police officer, SP Bello, during a rescue operation.

He also killed an Igbo businessman after collecting ransom and vandalized pipelines and government infrastructures.
The police chief listed additional crimes committed by General 2Man, including:
Killing the Youth President of Okogbe Community, Christmas Ede, on December 21, 2021
Multiple killings in 2024, including two PMF 48 personnel and three civilians
Murdering two Shell staff and stealing their Toyota Hilux
Shooting SP Bello during a rescue operation in 2022
Killing two Rapid Response Team officers in early 2023
The police recovered an AK-47 rifle, five magazines, and 20 rounds of live ammunition from the cultist.
Other gang members escaped with bullet wounds, and efforts are underway to apprehend them. The police urged the public to report anyone with bullet wounds to the nearest station.
The Rivers State Police Command has initiated confidence-building patrols throughout December, raiding criminal hideouts across the state.
