    Northern Senators congratulate Babangida at 83

    SENATORS of the 19 Northern states under the aegis of Northern Senators Forum, NSF have congratulated Nigeria’s former Military President, General Ibrahim Babangida, on his 83rd birthday.

    A statement signed on Sunday by the NSF Chairman, Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, APC, Katsina Central read, “Happy 83rd birthday to General Ibrahim Babangida, a true statesman and former Head of State of Nigeria! Your selfless service to our great nation has left an indelible mark on our history. Your vision for a united and prosperous Nigeria led to the creation of 11 new states, promoting true federalism and development across the country.

    “Your contributions to the growth of our nation are countless, from the development of the federal capital territory, Abuja, to the construction of the iconic Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, then the longest bridge in Africa.

    “As we celebrate your life and legacy, we wish you long life, good health, and continued wisdom. May your birthday be filled with joy, love, and cherished moments with family and friends.
