The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its fight against insecurity, conducting 8,665 combat, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), and logistics missions since June 2023.

According to Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff, the NAF has also dropped 9,928 sorties in 15,915 flying hours.

Air Marshal Abubakar revealed that the NAF has acquired 64 new aircraft in the past three years, including 12 advanced aircraft received in the last year.

These new acquisitions include KA-360i aircraft, DA-62 aircraft, T-129 helicopters, and AW-109 Trekker helicopters.

The NAF has also recorded significant milestones in training, with 405 airmen and 186 officers completing foreign courses, seminars, and trips.

Additionally, 5,474 and 1,331 personnel have completed and are undergoing local training courses, respectively.
The NAF has achieved a commendable milestone by recording zero manned-aircraft accidents, thanks to its enhanced safety management.

The Air Force has also obtained accreditation for its Air Traffic Services Training Centre (ATSTC) from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) as an Approved Training Organization (ATO).

Furthermore, the NAF has continued to work with international stakeholders, such as the United States Air Force and British Military Advisory and Training Team (BMATT), to introduce new tactics, techniques, and procedures for improved air/ground integration.

The Minister of Defence, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar, has assured that the Federal Government will continue to support the NAF to attain its full potentials.
