Singer, Burna Boy has described Nigeria as ‘collateral damage’ following the country’s current state.

Speaking during his recent interview with Tidal, the singer called Nigeria a Royal Niger company for the British.
In a now trending video on social media, Burna Boy emphasized that Nigerians are suffering from the consequences of poor governance and external influences.
Sharing his thoughts about how Nigeria came to be, he noted that the country was never meant to exist.
“We were not even supposed to be Nigerians in the first place. We are the Royal Niger company. So, we are basically a company for the British to take resources and go for Britain.
“Then somewhere along the line, the company decided to buy the whole place and amalgamate it.
“So at the end of the day, the people that sell the place and the people that buy the place to them are the winners. While the rest of the people are collateral damage,” he said.
