The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has commiserated with the family of the late Oba Adegoke Olu-Adeyemi, the Alara of Aramoko, the people of Aramoko-Ekiti, the Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN), and indeed the entire Muslim community in Ekiti State, on the passing of the revered monarch.
The late Oba Olu-Adeyemi was not only a traditional ruler of distinction but also a devout Muslim, a promoter of Islam, and an active member of MUSWEN. He stood out as one of the few Muslim royal fathers in Ekiti State and used his throne to advance both faith and community development.
His death is a monumental loss to the Muslim Ummah and to the Nigerian traditional institution. He will be remembered for his uprightness, his commitment to Islam and his bridge-building role between tradition and religion.
We pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives his shortcomings, accepts his good deeds, and grants him Al-Jannah Firdaus. We also pray that Allah strengthens his family, the people of Aramoko, and the Muslim Ummah to bear this irreparable loss.
