The Ooni of Ife, His Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has commissioned the Ifoshi Road in Ejigbo, Lagos State, which was abandoned for 26 years, commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for ensuring local government autonomy in the country.
The project was done by the Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Monsuru Oloyede Bello (OBE).
Oba Ogunwusi, said the move will accelerate development at the grassroots level in Lagos State. He described the reconstructed Ifoshi Road as strategic in developing the council.

He appealed to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, to restore the Kayode Double Powerline and Ilamoshe Estate Canoe roads, which will ease traffic and enhance connectivity.

Also speaking at the event, APC Lagos State Chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi,, lauded the Council Chairman for constructing the road, justifying the gains of local autonomy. He encouraged the chairman to do more, stating that the state government has never touched the allocation of local governments, and that more monumental developments are expected.
The LCDA will soon commission other landmark projects, including a state-of-the-art Local Council Secretariat, a modern motor park, an ultra-modern and well equipped primary health center (Morning Star PHC), and Kashimawo Alimi road, among others.
