Lagos Dep Gov, Dr Hamzat joins Dangote Cement’s ₦15bn appreciation bash”

*As Group Chairman announces 90m Tonnes Cement Production Capacity *Says all trucks will be CNG-Powered by 2027

Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, attended the Dangote Cement 2026 Customer Celebration and Distributor Awards Night at the Eko Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event honored top-performing distributors and customers with ₦15 billion worth of rewards, including cash prizes, cement containers, high-end SUVs, and CNG-powered trucks.

Dangote Cement Plc’s President/CE, Aliko Dangote, praised the distributors as the “heartbeat” of the organization, acknowledging their dedication to ensuring Dangote products reach communities nationwide. The company also announced plans to expand its cement production capacity to 90 million tonnes and invest in new CNG-powered trucks, targeting all trucks to be CNG-powered by 2027.

Dr. Hamzat, has been instrumental in driving technological innovation in Lagos State, previously serving as Commissioner for Science and Technology. His presence at the event underscores the importance of partnerships in driving growth and development.
