The Nigerian Army has eulogized the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Taoreed Lagbaja, as a gallant soldier who led by example.
General Kamar Yusuf, leader of the seven Generals team, described Lagbaja as a dedicated officer who served meritoriously in various capacities before becoming COAS.
At a meeting with Governor Ademola Adeleke and Oba Ashiru Olaniyan, Yusuf announced plans for a state burial to honor Lagbaja’s memory. Governor Adeleke praised Lagbaja as a bright star of Osun and Nigeria, noting his service to the nation would never be forgotten.
