    Keyamo leads delegation to Europe for Abuja second runway project

    The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has led a high-profile delegation to Helsinki, Finland, and Vienna, Austria, for critical factory inspections and familiarization meetings with leading aviation infrastructure equipment manufacturers, Vaisala and Frequentis AG.

    The delegation, which included top officials from Nigerian aviation agencies, visited the manufacturing plants of Vaisala and Frequentis AG to inspect and discuss the supply of infrastructural equipment for the ongoing Abuja second runway project.

    During the visit, the delegation was given an overview of the companies’ core specializations, including meteorological equipment, voice communication systems, and air traffic management solutions.

    Minister Keyamo emphasized the importance of the visit, stating that it is a crucial step in ensuring that Nigeria’s aviation infrastructure is equipped with the latest technologies to enhance safety and efficiency.

    The partnerships forged with industry leaders like Vaisala and Frequentis AG are expected to significantly improve the efficiency of air traffic management and weather forecasting in Nigeria.
