    I’m satisfied with performances of Service Chiefs, not probing them — Tinubu

    ABUJA — PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu on Monday said he was not going to probe the Service Chiefs, stressing it was not good to disrespect the instructions

    The President who stated this while fielding questions on utilisation of funds by the Service Chiefs in the fight against terrorism and other security challenges in the country, said that he was satisfied with the performances of the security heads in the country.

    He said, “I am not probing Service Chiefs. You cannot disrespect the institutions because of threat of probe and you cannot fight this war without investment in technology, in weaponry and training.

    “There may be leakages here and there not wholesale. We put a very effective control mechanism in place to monitor our budget releases and those funds are being judiciously used.

    “Consider the welfare of our service men and women, they are operating in very serious conditions. We have a very huge country, a lot of forest, an unoccupied spaces. Give them credit for what they are doing, I am proud of what they are doing today, no need to probe.”
