The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has ordered the immediate posting of Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs) to head Police Zonal Commands in Zone 1 (Kano), Zone 4 (Makurdi), and Zone 9 (Umuahia).
Additionally, a new AIG has been appointed to head the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Onikan, Lagos.
The newly posted AIGs include AIG Suleiman M. Yusuf to Zone 9, Umuahia; AIG Ahmed Ammani to Zone 1, Kano; AIG Zachariah Fera to Zone 4, Makurdi; and AIG Augustina Ogbodo to FCID Annex, Lagos.
These postings follow the retirement of several AIGs and the promotion of the former AIG of Zone 1, DIG Ari Muhammed Ali.

IGP Egbetokun has charged the new AIGs to maintain strict supervision, demonstrate diligence, and embrace police reform plans.
He emphasized the need to check all forms of misconduct and ensure peak professionalism, which will aid the progress of the Nigeria Police Force and the country’s growth.
