The INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Oyo State, Dr. Adeniran Tella gave the assurance during an interview with newsmen, following the signing of a peace accord by political parties at the commission’s headquarters in Ibadan.

Tella stated that the commission had convened a meeting of the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES).

According to him, the primary purpose of the meeting was to establish comprehensive plans to ensure the safety of both personnel and election materials during and after the voting process.
