“How I beheaded Okada rider to steal his motorcycle,” Gang leader confesses

Published on

In a shocking confession, Peter Samuel, the alleged leader of an armed robbery gang, revealed how he brutally murdered an Okada rider, Rafiu Akano, in order to steal his new motorcycle.

The incident occurred on November 4, 2024, in the Asunlere area of Ilorin East Local Government, Kwara State.
According to Samuel, he used a sharpened cutlass to behead Akano after hitting him with a stick. The victim, unaware of the danger, had been contracted to take Samuel and his accomplices to a secluded area.
The police reported that Samuel’s Android phone, which he dropped at the scene, played a crucial role in his arrest. The phone, along with the victim’s phone, was found by detectives who responded to reports of a headless body near a stream.
Two other suspects, Jeremiah Tiozinda and Sunday Agbenke, were also apprehended and confessed to the crime. During interrogation, they revealed that they disposed of Akano’s severed head in a nearby river.
