In a spectacular display of love, solidarity, and celebration, the city of Maiduguri, Borno State, came to a standstill as the crème de la crème of Nigeria’s political elite gathered for the grand wedding of Aisha and Zara, daughters of Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, Deputy National Chairman (North) of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Vice President Senator Kassim Shettima led the dignitaries, including APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Borno State Governor Prof. Babagana Zulum, and Minister of State for Solid Minerals Development Uba Maigari, to the wedding ceremony.
The event was a masterpiece of Kanuri traditional society norms, with Dalori receiving the Vice President, APC National Chairman, and the state Governor, among other dignitaries, in his residence. The Groom and his family paid homage, presenting gifts of love and respect to the distinguished gathering.

As the traditional marriage rites were performed, the atmosphere was filled with joy and ecstasy. The Vice President, in his remarks, eulogized the virtue of the bride’s father, urging the couples to emulate his humane character and humility.
Dalori, overwhelmed with gratitude, thanked Allah, the people of Nigeria, and particularly the good people of Borno State for their love and support. He also expressed his special gratitude to the Vice President, APC National Chairman, and Governor Zulum for their solidarity and support.
The wedding ceremony was attended by a plethora of dignitaries, including Yobe State Governor Mallam Mai Mala Buni, Benue State Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, senators, members of the APC National Working Committee, and top federal and state government functionaries.
As the city of Maiduguri celebrated the union of Aisha and Zara, it was clear that the wedding would be etched in the memories of the people of the El-Kanemi Kingdom for a long time.
