Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has assured local Adire fabrics producers that his administration will support the industry, aiming to make Osun the hub of Adire fabrics in Nigeria.
Speaking at the unveiling of the Adire Osun Festival official logo, Governor Adeleke pledged to be the Adire brand ambassador across the country.
“Osun is the home of Adire, and as the originator of this unique fabric, we have resolved to actively support and promote this brand,” he said.

The Governor outlined plans to host Adire industry events annually, develop sector-based policies to encourage entrepreneurs, and support market development and design growth for the fabric.
He also promised to develop the capacity of industry players towards superior presence in the market from 2025.
Tunde Laface, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Creative Economy, Events, and Entertainment, noted that the festival would create job opportunities for youths and grow the state economy.
“Adire Osun Festival is a futuristic youth-engaging and empowering project that will boast the Culture and Tourism potential of Osun State,” he added.
This development is part of Governor Adeleke’s efforts to promote cultural heritage and economic growth in Osun State. Earlier, he had declared every Wednesday as Adire Osun Day, directing public officials to wear Adire Osun every Wednesday to boost the industry and enhance cultural strengths of the state.
