Four persons killed, 20 injured in Osun multiple auto accident

Four persons were reportedly killed in a multiple auto accident along Ilesa-Akure express road in Osun State.

The accident which occurred at Ikeji-Arakeji, in Oriade local government area of Osun State also left 20 persons injured.

It was gathered that two commercial buses and a truck where involved in the accident in which one of the vehicles burst into flame after head on collision.

Confirming the incident, Osun Federal Road Safety Corp Sector Commander, Taofeek Somunbi three female and a male adult were killee in the incident.

According to him, the accident was as a result of over speeding and reckless driving by the drivers of the vehicles involved.

He added that the incident occurred on Wednesday and the debris have been cleared by operatives of the FRSC.

He therefore counselled road users to be careful on the road for their safety and that of other motorists.
