First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has reiterated the President Bola Tinubu-led administration’s commitment to empowering women and the girl child through education.
Speaking at the commissioning of the Alternative High School for Girls in Osogbo, Osun State, Senator Tinubu emphasized that education is a fundamental human right that can help individuals reach their full potential.
The Alternative High School for Girls is one of six schools to be built across the country, with locations in Imo, Kwara, Lagos, Oyo, and Rivers States. This initiative brings the total number of Alternative High Schools in Nigeria to 50, with 44 already established in the Northern parts of the country.
The school is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a crèche, skills acquisition center, and modern classrooms. These facilities aim to provide a conducive learning environment for academic excellence and equip students with life skills to rebuild their confidence and independence.

The Minister of State for Education, Dr. Suweba Ahmed, and the Wife of Osun State Governor, Mrs. Titilola Adeleke, commended Senator Tinubu for her dedication to empowering girls and women.
