    Fire guts Abuja fitness centre

    ABUJA: The Eco-Fitness Hub in the Gwarinpa area of Abuja was on Wednesday gutted by fire. The immediate cause of the fire was not known.

    It was gathered that the coordinated efforts of the Federal Fire Service, the National Emergency Management Agency NEMA, the Federal Capital Territory FCT Fire Service, and the FCT Emergency Management Agency FEMA halted the fire from spreading to other buildings.

    “Men of the Federal Fire Service FCT Command responded to a distress call over an emergency fire outbreak at a popular fitness center, Eco-Fitness Hub, in Gwarinpa Abuja.
    “The firemen gallantly and swiftly swung into action and the situation is now reportedly under total control”, said an Interior ministry official who did not want his name mentioned.
